Uffff.

I needed a sewing break.
Surviving PR&P has been huge, but what really took me down last week was a bad flu. I hate it when you know you should be in bed but your daily obligations won´t let you do that.
I couldn´t go into my sewing room for nine days!. The longest break ever. But yesterday I felt a lot better and I spent half a day cleaning the mess. Oh my, the mess. Five weeks of frenzy sewing, tracing patterns on the floors, dropping trimmings and threads clippings everywhere, buttons, pins, fabric scraps scattered on every flat surface... oh my, the mess.
I honestly never thought I´d go past the second week so I didn´t sew in advance. Since week 2 I made all the looks in real time. This was a typical PR&P week schedule:
Friday: Seeing what the other contestants made. Convince myself I´d be out that week.
Saturday: watching the votes. Start thinking there might be a possibility that I stay
Sunday: Realising I´d be staying one more week. Panic. Late night sewing (generally muslins and UFOs)
Monday: Definitely staying. More panic. Sew very late at night to have everything almost ready for Tuesday, the only day I could go to shop for notions.
Tuesday: Shop for buttons, matching threads, even fabric sometimes. Late night sewing.
Wednesday: If look is ready take photos when I get home from work and before my kids naptime. I only had one hour of daylight to do that! Unfortunately looks weren´t ready so soon, so back to sew at night
Thursday: Take photos after lunch. Edit and write posts during dinner and send off a couple of hours before our deadline!

| SEMANA 5 :: WEEK #5 |

Same routine every friday for five wonderful weeks. But I got lots of help from my family and friends. Like my father, always there propping up my girl or running to get me red thread urgently.
