***It´s my turn today on the Willow & Co pattern tour. I chose to sew the Antalya Dress because it´s an interesting dress, with piping, and designed by Olga from Kid Approved, whom I admire a lot since I made this tunic she designed last year. For this year the collection of patterns is quite original and a good mix. You can see all the design HERE.
***The Antalya is an excellent dress to add piping and contrast. However, I went for a same fabric version to make the best out of this lovely print. You may also notice that I did some changes. The biggest one was to widen the neckline, cutting into the side panels.
Another modification was to finish the neckline and back slit with a facing. That was because I was playing around with my preferred neck opening, and a facing allowed me to do it all at once.
***Then, what reaaaally took the longest, was to find the right point for gathering the front bottom panels. I somehow did it wrong three times, starting to high, and had to unpick and unpick again. By this time I was a bit tired and couldn´t add pockets as she had requested, maybe later?
