Patrones de niños Burda Julio 2011 :: Burda 07 2011 kids patterns

El pasado sábado ya tenía en mis manos el último número de Burda. Yupiiiiiii! viva fin de mes!!
Este mes el estilismo de niños está dedicado a ropa de fiesta, aunque con connotación alemana, que a veces parecen más bien camisones que otra cosa. Tiene poquitos patrones pero me gustan.
 Para empezar este vestido clásico de volantes que según la tela que se use puede ser más o menos informal. En tafetán y con lazada puede servir de boda y el batista de flores para ir de cumple. El detalle del cuello de encaje aplicado es opcional.

I got hold of the July issue of Burda last Saturday and these are this month kids patterns.
It´s dedicated to party dresses,  with a light and romantic stylism. I immediately fell for this classic and versatile ruffled dress. Made in taffeta with a contrasting tie could be a beautiful party dress, or a more casual one in a printed lawn, voile or liberty fabric.

Esta blusa en batista tiene detalles bonitos, como las mangas de volantes en las sisas que están tan de moda ahora. Tenía pineado en mi Pinterest tops parecidos y llevaba tiempo intentando dibujar el patrón así que gracias Burda! Yo la haría versión vestido de florecillas o blusón de lino.

This top has nice details, like the ruffled sleeves so trendy now. I had pinned similar tops and was trying to figure out the pattern so thank you Burda! I´ll go for a drapey linen on this one.

 

También hay dos blusas más con mangas ranglán que me gustan para los vaqueros. Este tipo de mangas es muy fácil de coser y sirve para varias tallas porque no se ajusta a la sisa. Con un  dobladillo generoso y un buen quitamanchas en casa puede durar varias temporadas.

There are two more tops with kimono sleeves that I´d paired with jeans. I like this type of sleeves because if hemmed generously they can last years, provided there´s a reliable stain removal at home.

Las dos tienen el mismo patrón y solo varían los detalles y la botonadura en la espalda.

Y hasta aquí los modelos que me apunto en mi lista de las mil cosas que me gustaría coser. Luego tenemos otras cosas que me gustan pero que ya sé que no voy a hacer este año. Por ejemplo este mono, que es muy sencillo y fresquito, pero poco práctico para que mis hijas vayan solas al baño (hay que pensar en todo)

There are other nice patterns that I know for a fact I´ll never get to make. Like this sweet overall. Nothing wrong with it, it´s just that my daughters would need me to go the loo. And I´ve got too many blogs to read to be on a constant back and forth loo trip.

O este vestido que parece un camisón y que tanto les gusta a los de Burda. Quizás con otra manga más ajustada lo considere para el invierno porque el canesú con la cinta me gusta. Un momento. Me acabo de dar cuenta de que el patrón es el de las blusas, así que listo calisto. Sin novedad por aquí.

Or this dress that reminds me of a nightdress and that Burda likes so much. If I changed the sleeves it could be a nice winter dress though. Wait. I just realised the pattern is the same as the tops so nothing new here. Just  a couple of puffy sleeves.

El vestido rojo

Siempre tengo un vestido rojo. 

Los días que me levanto "gorda" me lo pongo y soy otra. 

Mis vestidos rojos son una prenda básica de mi fondo de armario y aunque no me los suelo poner a diario, siempre hay ocasiones en las que me son imprescindibles. Cuando empecé a hacerme mi ropa lo primero que quise coserme fue un vestido rojo, y como todavía estoy en ello tengo toda una colección de diseños para inspirarme.
La foto de arriba es de un vestido del catálogo de Navidad de Zara. La falda campana es muy favorecedora para todas las que podais juntar los tobillos sin que se toquen las rodillas.

Pero me quedo con éste último, sencillo pero muy mi estilo. El patrón creo que es fácil de sacar. Ahora sólo tengo que encontrar punto de seda en rojo carmín.

But this last dress is the winner for me. The pattern will be easy to draft, I just have to find silk jersey in the right shade of red.

Mi semana costurera :: My sewing week

Esta ha sido una semana de muchas cosas buenas, en sentido costurero.
- Me he enamorado perdidamente del cuello de este vestido. Es parte de la colección de verano de Ruche, una marca norteamericana con una ropa estilo vintage romántico que me encanta (pero que me es muy difícil llevar). Me he leído y releído todos mis libros de costura para aprender a dibujar este patrón y la semana que viene lo fulmino. 
-He terminado dos prendas para mi tribu.
- He participado en Pattern Review, una página con comentarios y reviews de todos los patrones habidos y por haber. Es un sitio tan impresionante y lo he usado tanto que ya me tocaba contribuir en algo. Mi review está aquí.
-He hilvanado y montado mi pantalón super ancho y tiene muy buena pinta. Mi madre le ha dado el visto bueno así que pa lante.
-He cortado las piezas de mi falda de bolsillos desbocados del Patrones 269. Me he vuelto a quedar sin tela pero me da hasta vergüenza contarlo.
-Solucioné el problema con los pespuntes con hilo especial para vaqueros. Mi madre me aconsejó cambiar la aguja, y yo por supuesto dije que si pero no lo hice. Luego recibí dos comentarios con el mismo consejo, lo hice y funciono. Gracias Kate y Zoe!!
- He descubierto que youtube es un instrumento fantástico para aprender técnicas de costura. Buscando tutoriales para montar mangas descubrí estos vídeos, que pertenecen a un canal de la revista threads. He aprendido tanto que le dedicaré una entrada completa a esta lady norteamericana encantadora, Judith Neukam. También he encontrado como montar una cremallera invisible, que espero poner en práctica esta noche si el sueño no me vence cuando la tribu se vaya a la cama.
- Pero lo más mejor de todo es que gané el sorteo del blog de Nette!!! Yupiiiii

This has been a wonderful week, sewing speaking.

- I  fell in love with this dress collar. It's part of the summer collection of Ruche. I've read and re-read  all my sewing books to learn how to draft this pattern, and I'm ready now to start it next week.

- I finished two jackets for my lot.

- Published my first review on Pattern Review. Amazingly helpful site, I just thought I had to contribute somehow. Here's the link to my review.

- I'm halfway with my super-wide-super-flattering pants and it looks promising. Mum gave it the thumbs up so here I go.

-I cut out the fabric pieces for a skirt of a Patrones magazine. I ran out of fabric AGAIN, but I'll make it work. Even if it means I'll have to shorten the skirt and make it low hip. But I'll never admit defeat by buying more fabric.

-Thanks to my mum, and the helpful comments of Zoe and Kate, I sort out the problem of the topstitching in denim. The needle was the culprit girls. Thanks a lot!

- I'm prepared to move in with this lady from the sewing magazine threads. I've watched all her videos in youtube and have learnt a lot. I'll go packing in a minute.

- But the best of the week is that I won the giveaway of one of my favourite blogs, the wonderful nette. Could I have asked for more this week?

Domingo perfecto :: Perfect Sunday

Domingo por la mañana. 

Muy, pero que muy temprano. Todavía de noche.
